A Financial planner is a problem shooter; he is not only hired for those with surpluses or rich but also for those who are hand to mouth or for those who could not manage the cash flow for creating surpluses. He is basically the “Creator” and “enhancer of wealth”.

So advising and planning to invest money in various financial products is not a financial planning. The Financial Planning is a comprehensive field, covering lot of personal aspects which differs from individual to individual and might even ignore financial products. It deals with certain unique disciplines like risk management, expenses management , tax planning, , etc which make one understand the real function of a financial planner. The work of a financial planner differs from individual financial agents in this very aspect as former is a solicitor of solving particular problems to reach the financial life goals while the later deals in only one aspect of personal finance which might or might not help anyway. Therefore a financial planning is comprehensive in its function whose objective is to design a pathway to meet eternal satisfaction out of unique conditions and is never stick to any one aspect like earning higher returns from a investment product and hence not only for well-heeled ones.
